Once the two of you sit down to chat, the emphasis shifts from physical characteristics to personality traits.

What we call “chemistry” is in reality composed of two components

physical attributes (minor)
personality traits (major)

Immature men often place an exaggerated emphasis on a woman’s physical attributes. (TV/Radio personality Howard Stern openly judges women almost exclusively by their physical traits – and this appeals strongly to a young and/or immature male audience)

Men find the following traits attractive in women: (not in any particular order)

Large expressive eyes

Small nose

Full lips

High cheekbones

High eyebrows

Wide pupils

Warm smile

Full bust line

80% hip to waist ratio **

smooth clear skin
Smooth, curvy legs

Slender ankles

** The attractiveness of the right waist to hip ratio cuts across all cultures. In one study even men from primitive jungle dwelling tribes deep in the Amazon jungle found the 80% waste to hip ratio most attractive!

Marilyn Monroe had the ideal 80% ratio which may help account for her extraordinary popularity.

Many women tend to be rather height sensitive. The most ideal height for a man is six feet. Any additional height is desirable but not as impressive as the first six feet. (With the exception of tall women who openly seek out tall men)

Unfortunately almost all women discriminate against short men. Studies have shown that short men have a much more difficult time finding marriage mates. (If you're short - you might want to try using special shoes that help boost your height.) Most women have an extremely simple height standard – they want a man who is at least several inches taller than themselves. It’s common for a woman to tell a friend “Oh he was nice enough - but he was too short”.

Height is much less of an issue for men. Most men prefer women who are shorter than themselves but other than that height isn’t nearly as important as it is for women.

One final note on this subject. I’ve known a number of “ladies men” who were fabulously successful with women though they were nothing special to look at.

A man was arrested some years back in Seattle and accused with running a male prostitution business. The police charged him with having paid sex with over 150 different women in a single year! When he appeared in front of court cameras, viewers were shocked to find that he was a homely man with extensive acne damaged skin and a receding hair line. Yet women gladly shelled out generous fees to make love to him. Your appearance isn't all that important!
